The Clinton Police and Fire Departments joined together to spread some Christmas cheer to 26 deserving kiddos during our first annual "Shop with a Hero" event at the Clinton Walmart. Each child was paired with a police officer or firefighter who personally escorted them around the store as they shopped for Christmas gifts. As public servants, it is such a privilege to have the opportunity to bless these families and participate in sharing the spirit of giving. This terrific event would not be possible without the support of our amazing citizens and businesses in the City of Clinton! Special thanks goes to: Walmart (Clinton), Taylor Plumbing, Powder Cote II, WB Electric, Cannon & Cannon, Scott Laska (SL TN), Fox Toyota, Stephenson Auction & Realty, ACE Hardware, Scott Burton, and several City of Clinton employees who contributed.

Congratulations to Officer Dustin Campbell for obtaining a Drug Recognition Expert certification! This certification is one of the most challenging in law enforcement to obtain.
Officers trained as Drug Recognition Experts (DREs) are frequently called upon to differentiate between drug influence and medical and/or mental disorders and is an extremely valuable tool in combating the adverse impact of drug and alcohol-impaired driving in our communities.
DRE School is extremely demanding. To receive certification as a DRE, three phases of training must be completed: Drug Recognition Expert Pre-School (16 hours) Drug Recognition Expert DRE School (56 hours) Drug Recognition Expert Field Certification (approximately 40-60 hours.) This certification is a valuable tool to further assist in the safety of the citizens of Clinton. Great job Officer Campbell!
