We at the Police Department want to commend our outstanding community members for their support! We recently posted a request to help identify two suspects in a theft from a local business and the response has been fantastic! You have called, emailed, and showed up in person to assist in solving crime in your city. This type of mutual cooperation and partnership with our community is what makes Clinton such a great place to live, work, shop, and play!
We are asking once again for your help in identifying two suspects who have no respect for other people's property. On 04/15/24 the two suspects pictured stole a X-Pro 125cc dirt bike (blue in color) from the front yard of a residence on Edgewood Circle. The suspects then left the area in a Chevy Equinox. If you have any information at all on the identity of either suspect please contact the police department at 865-457-3112 or email Officer Padilla (bpadilla@clintontn.net). Again, Thank You for taking an active role in the safety and security of your city!

The Clinton Police Department mourns the loss of a dedicated public servant today. Retired Officer Wally Carmichael will always be lovingly remembered as one of Clinton's most dedicated police officers. Officer Carmichael faithfully served the city of Clinton for 34 years before retiring. Wally was a staple for our community and consistently showed his compassion for the citizens of Clinton. He will be deeply missed. The Clinton Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the Carmichael family for their loss. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

Road workers have to operate very close to traffic in order to improve safety for everyone. Put your phone down, reduce your speed, pay attention to signs and flaggers, and increase your following distance to help keep road workers safe on the job. #NWZAW
