The Clinton Police Department send their condolences to the family of Deputy Greg McCowan and the Blount County Sheriff's Office during this difficult time. Deputy McCowan was shot during the line of duty and succumbed to his injuries. Please also remember and keep in your prayers Deputy Eggers and her family who was also shot and injured, but is recovering. We are deeply sadden anytime a first responder makes the ultimate sacrifice.
